Appleby saves his par on 18.

That Aussie surfer guy, Stuart Appleby, took control of the AT&T National and leads all by himself at 9-under. Stuart was just on, when he was in trouble, he would get up and down for par, otherwise, his 68 was stellar overall. KJ Choi was up and down all day but managed to salvage an even round. Tiger shot 1-under to get to 2-under.

It’s pretty late and I have an early tee time tomorrow so I’ll make my comments short. I think Stuart Appleby has what it takes to win this one, he’s putting extremely well and the pressure doesn’t appear to affect the mild-mannered Aussie. I like Mike Wier’s play, I think he could finish second here. Tiger will move up to top ten, so should Vijay.
