Daly Leads Telus Skins Game

Up here in the great white north of Canada, they’re playing a little game of skins. John Daly is a regular of the event and currently leads with 2 skins and $30,000. After yesterday’s round, 6 holes are carried over today which means they’ll be playing for $125,000 on the 10th tee. The other players include Stephen Ames, Retief Goosen, Colin Montgomerie and Geoff Ogilvy.
The final 9 holes will be played today to conclude the annual event.

[...] Right now on ESPN, they are showing the skins game. This year’s edition features perennial favorite Fred Couples followed by Stephen Ames, Zach Johnson and Brett Wetterich. Though, the golf isn’t all that exciting to watch, the money involved is absolutely ridiculous. Freddie has won more in the skins game than he has in all the major championships he’s competed in combined. Can you imagine that, and Fred has been in and more importantly won a major championship including the Masters in 1992.
