John Deere Preview

A Zach win should be like taking candy from a baby.

Well I’m sure tournament organizers for the upcoming John Deere Classic are really bummed about Michelle Wie not teeing it up with the men this week as virtually all the top 40 golfers decided to take the week off to prepare for the British Open next week. With so many players sitting this one out, Michelle probalby would’ve made the cut. Well, maybe that was a stretch. Anyways, Zach Johnson is the only big name this week and that’s only because he lives a couple of hours away. Jump on the link to see my Yahoo! picks for the week.


A List

Slim pickins’ here, Zach Johnson is the overwhelming favorite. I went with a Cameron Beckman for my second pick. Yep, Cameron who?? Oh well, Zach should win this thing outright so who really cares what my second pick is.

B List

Anthony Kim, Camillo Villegas, Woody Austin and Jesper Parnevik.

Some decent picks here in the B list. I think a couple of young guys like Anthony and Camillo have a good opportunity with the big guns out to pick up the win here.

Woody has played well recently as has Jesper.

C List

Bubba Watson and Brandt Snedeker.

Hey look, both guys from last week are still here. Too bad they didn’t do anything for me last week. Maybe this week will be better, but I’m not betting on it.

TV coverage will be the usual Golf Channel on Thu/Fri and CBS on Sat/Sun.
