US Open Friday Morning Update

The beast is alive. Oakmont is eating the pros for breakfast literally. The greens are so slick, it’s like a skating rink out there. The leaderboard hasn’t changed a whole lot since the leaders are yet to tee off. The players that played early yesterday are playing now, and vice versa.

Vijay Singh (3-over), Aaron Baddeley (2-over), Brandt Snedeker (3-over), Tom Pernice (3-over) and Justin Rose (3-over) are playing the best of the morning group so far.

The scores are going up and the afternoon group should be even higher as the greens firm up even more.

My buddy Jim Furyk is falling back, he’s 6-over through 12, Phil Mickelson is at 8-over.
